The next Grainger County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors meeting will be held on July 24,  2008 at 5:30 p.m. at the Chamber Office.

Please support your local Chamber of Commerce.

The Grainger County Chamber of commerce is partnering with Town Square Graphics and its representative Julia Whipple, a resident of Knoxville, who will be in the area creating a Grainger County Commemorative Town Graphic for 2007.
The Chamber of Commerce will serve as a distribution point for this map.  Chamber President David Ridenour, said "We feel that this will be a popular piece with our visitors, prospective businesses, and local citizens.  This graphic will be around for years to come both as a keepsake and as a community guide."
Ridenour said the Chamber wants each business to have an opportunity to take part in the venture.
The company has contracted with Grainger Today to distribute the map once it is completed.
Anyone who has not been contacted or responded to Whipple is encouraged to call the Chamber Office at (865) 828-4222, contact Whipple at (865) 556-2157 or email, JuliaWhipple@bellsouth.net.

Grainger County maps are available.
Full size, full color, the first comprehensive map of the county.  The cost is just $5.  Pick up your map today at the Chamber of Commerce, Grainger Today, and other locations to be announced.

Please take advantage of all the work done by Mary Lynn Glimore
and her people in developing the Grainger County Archives at the Old Rutledge High School.  The Archives are located on the top floor and are open to the public Monday and Tuesday 9:30 to 3:30 and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 12:30.  There are workers available to assist anyone with historical questions of Grainger County and for family genealogy questions of the past.  We commend them on this work and they are excited about helping all of us.
For more information on this project you can call 865-828-3693 or e-mail: graingerarchives@charterinternet.com
